Local who has four Arias, with more to come

HE might be the least-known ARIA Award winner in the country, but he's probably one of very few to win four of them.
Mall Music owner Geoff Bonouvrie said the success of his independent retailer was not based on turnover alone.
As other music retailers struggle to compete with the rush of fans downloading music from the internet, Mr Bonouvrie's sales figures speak for themselves.
The Warringah Mall outlet is one of the most successful in the country in terms of sales and is a venue of choice for high-profile artists to launch their latest offerings.
"We are one of the biggest retailers in the country, but ARIAs also take into consideration artists' support, stock presentation and promotion," he said.
Mr Bonouvrie cut his management teeth working with the band Mi-Sex, and a young fledgling group called Midnight Oil.
He's says treating artists with dignity helps you build up a reputation in the music business.
This is part of the reason artists such as Andre Rieu, Michael Buble, Harry Connick jnr, Enya, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Barnes, diesel, Kate Ceberano, the Australian Idol finalists and countless more want to, and have, performed there.
Mr Bonouvrie puts the success of Mall Music down to industry knowledge and treating performing artists with respect.
"Artists aren't product, they're people," he said.
"And they're promoting a body of art. If you understand that concept and treat them with respect, they love coming here and demonstrating that art."
Mind you, it doesn't do the artists much harm, either. Sales on the day contribute to Top 40 listings.* The Secret of Mall Music's success see Saturday's Weekend section.
